The Airbrush tool mimics the action of a real-world airbrush, allowing color to accumulate over an area. The tool single-handedly allows for gradual transitions of color in targeted areas, resulting in natural-looking shading and other effects.
The function of the Airbrush tool was incorporated into the other painting tools starting with version 7.0. When using Airbrush mode, the flow attribute causes brush strokes to be time-dependent, rather than motion-dependent.
